Its function is essential for the operation of the pneumatic system of commercial vehicles since it consists in supplying compressed air to the different circuits, prioritising the tank filling and protecting the system from potential leaks.

If a leak or break renders the braking system inoperative, the circuit protection valve has a safety mechanism to isolate the circuit affected from the rest of the connections. Besides, if any problem is detected in the service brake system, this valve activates the emergency brake automatically to ensure the driver’s safety.
